It acts as a natural feed carrier: its surface binds dissolved nutrients, particles, and feed components, then keeps them suspended in the water column for several hours instead of settling out immediately or drifting past filter feeders unused.

That extended suspension time gives corals and other filter feeders a longer window to catch and use the bound nutrients, supporting uptake, growth, and skeletal formation. The water will look intentionally cloudy for a few hours after dosing, then clear again as corals feed and the protein skimmer pulls out what's left, which also helps export unwanted dissolved organics from the system. Coral Bloom pairs well with liquid coral food blends like Fauna Marin Coral Smoothie for preparing feed solutions before dosing.

Key Features:

Ultra-fine natural oolite powder (3-8 μm) sourced from the Bahama Bank

100% natural oolites, free from additives

Binds dissolved nutrients and feed particles, keeping them suspended for several hours

Supports nutrient uptake, growth, and skeletal formation in corals and filter feeders

Clouds the water temporarily, then clears as corals feed and the skimmer exports remaining particles

Pairs with liquid coral food blends, including Fauna Marin Coral Smoothie, for prepared feed solutions

Ideal For:

Reef tanks with heavy filter-feeder populations (LPS, NPS corals, clams) that benefit from suspended, bindable food particles

Hobbyists dosing liquid coral foods who want a natural carrier to extend feeding time in the water column

Tanks running a protein skimmer, since the skimmer helps export what corals don't take up

Pro Tips:

Dose with moderate flow running, not high flow. Moderate water movement keeps the powder distributed through the tank without blowing it straight past corals or into the overflow before they can feed.

Mix it into liquid coral food first, don't dose it dry. Combining Coral Bloom with a liquid feed blend before dosing gives more even distribution than adding the dry powder directly to the tank.

Online exclusive: this item is ordered in for you and is usually ready within a few business days.
