Unlike dosers made for a few short bursts a day, the Sole is designed for jobs that never stop, like feeding a calcium reactor's effluent line, dripping kalkwasser, or slowly moving water in and out of the tank. It works in both saltwater and freshwater setups and can run on its own or as part of a larger HYDROS collective.

The pump inside the Sole uses a stepper motor, which stays quiet even after months of nonstop use, and it can be set to run in reverse, so one unit can pull as well as push fluid. The controller reports its own health, including voltage, temperature, and CPU status, and it sends alerts straight to your phone if something looks off. Add a HYDROS WiFi Power Strip or Control XP8, and the Sole can also switch outlets for lights, pumps, and feeders.

Key Features:

Continuous-duty stepper motor pump rated for round-the-clock operation

Adjustable flow from 0.1 to 300 mL per minute for fine or fast dosing

Reversible pump direction for both feeding and pulling fluid

Two Command Bus ports for wired links to other HYDROS controllers

Dual-core 32-bit processor for fast on-device decisions

Splash-proof, dust-proof housing with aircraft-style connectors

Real-time alerts sent to your phone through the HYDROS app

1/4" push-fit fittings for quick, tool-free tubing connections

Ideal For:

Reef keepers running a calcium or kalkwasser reactor that needs steady, uninterrupted effluent flow

Hobbyists automating slow, continuous water changes instead of large manual swaps

Anyone feeding a sulfur denitrator or dosing liquid foods on a nonstop schedule

Pro Tips:

Mount it vertically before you power it on. The Sole is designed to hang on a wall or side panel, not sit flat, so its internal calibration and fluid flow work as intended.

Run it in reverse to prime new tubing. Before you start a dosing schedule, reverse the pump briefly to clear air bubbles from fresh tubing runs.

Watch the tubing, not just the motor. The pump itself is built for continuous duty, but PharMed tubing wears out with steady use.
