Dymax Colour Plus Pellet Fish Food, 1.2 kg Bulk Bag

Bulk Color-Enhancement Pellet for High-Volume Freshwater and Marine Operations

The Dymax Colour Plus Pellet Food (1.2kg) is the bulk bag format of the Colour Plus range — the same 2.5mm medium pellet formula as the 560g container, packaged in a flexible resealable bag designed for high-volume feeding environments. The formula is unchanged: 43% protein from krill meal, squid meal, fish meal, and mussel meal; astaxanthin and β-carotenoid for dual-pathway carotenoid color support; spirulina for plant-based pigment reinforcement; and garlic extract for palatability. Squid meal remains exclusive to the Colour Plus formula within the Dymax pellet range across all four sizes.

The 1.2kg bag is appropriate for fish stores feeding display tanks across a full product floor, public aquariums housing large collections of herbivorous and omnivorous freshwater or marine species, aquaculture and grow-out operations running large fish on a color-maintenance diet, and serious multi-tank collectors whose combined tank volume justifies the lowest per-gram cost in the Colour Plus range. The flexible bag format differs from the rigid containers used in the 60g, 160g, and 560g sizes and requires a different storage approach to maintain freshness over the extended use period.

Key Features:

• 2.5mm medium pellet color-enhancement formula in a 1.2kg flexible bulk bag
• Squid meal exclusive to Colour Plus in the Dymax pellet range across all sizes
• 43% protein and 8% fat from krill meal, fish meal, squid meal, and mussel meal
• Astaxanthin + β-carotenoid dual carotenoid stack for vivid color enhancement
• Spirulina for plant-based pigment reinforcement alongside the carotenoid stack
• Garlic extract maintains palatability across large-scale feeding operations
• β-Glucan immune support; Bacillus Subtilis probiotic for digestive efficiency
• Highly digestible formula reduces waste in high-density feeding environments
• No artificial colors, preservatives, or harmful additives
• Lowest per-gram cost across the full Colour Plus range
• Flexible bag format designed for high-volume operations rather than countertop storage

Ideal For:

• Retail fish stores feeding multiple freshwater and marine display tanks daily where a single bulk bag covers the full store feeding schedule
• Public aquariums and commercial aquaculture facilities running large-scale daily feeding programs for herbivorous and omnivorous species that need consistent color maintenance
• Serious multi-tank hobbyists running fifteen or more freshwater or marine systems on the Colour Plus formula who want the lowest per-gram cost without managing multiple smaller containers

Pro Tips:

• Transfer the 1.2kg bag contents into a sealed rigid container immediately upon receiving. A flexible bag, once opened, is harder to reseal securely than a rigid container with a threaded or snap lid. Decanting the full 1.2kg into a food-safe, airtight rigid container on receipt eliminates the freshness risk of repeated bag opening and closing.
• For retail feeding operations, portion into dated weekly supply containers. Label each weekly portion with the date it was decanted. This disciplines staff to rotate stock correctly and ensures no portion sits in an open secondary container longer than one week before fish consume it.
• The 2.5mm pellet size limits which display tanks this can serve. The 1.2kg is medium pellet only. If your store or facility also runs small fish tanks that require the 1.6mm pellet, keep the 560g medium pellet and the 160g small pellet as separate SKUs rather than trying to serve all tank sizes from the 1.2kg alone.
