Flipper Cleaner Standard Float

Flipper Standard Float 2-in-1 Magnetic Aquarium Algae Cleaner (SKU: FLP-STD-FLT)

The Flipper Standard Float Magnetic Aquarium Algae Cleaner (SKU: FLP-STD-FLT) is an authentic, premium-grade maintenance instrument distributed by CoralVue to preserve crystal-clear visibility across mid-sized freshwater aquariums and heavy-growth marine reef displays. Traditional magnetic cleaners often require you to choose between a soft pad that struggles against stubborn spot algae or a blade assembly that is tedious for daily film wiping. The Flipper Standard solves this limitation by integrating both cleaning faces into a single, dual-sided wet module. With a simple 180-degree turn of the external dry handle, the internal cleaning element flips seamlessly inside the tank, changing your tool face instantly while keeping your hands completely dry.

The defining upgrade of the Standard Float series centers on its built-in Positive Floating Buoyancy Framework. In legacy magnetic designs, dropping the connection meant the heavy internal magnet plummeted straight down into the sand bed, trapping jagged quartz grains against the glass and risking severe scratches. The Standard Float contains internal air pockets that cause it to bob straight up to the water surface the moment it detaches. This floating module utilizes orienting buoyancy to always keep its magnet face turned toward the aquarium wall, allowing you to re-engage the dry handle right from the surface. Capable of slicing through tough coralline algae while skimming safely over substrate lines, it serves as an essential tool for standard home display setups.

Key Features

• Protects Sensitive Glass & Acrylic Panels: The safety-spaced blade edge raises the magnet core away from the wall, preventing trapped sand from generating deep glass cuts.

• Highly Balanced Internal Clearance: Easily navigates clearance paths between your live rock formations and your display glass without tipping over small corals.

• Fast Hand-Dry Tank Cleanup: Swap from full-surface wiping to hard crust scraping in seconds without dipping your arm into your ecosystem.

• (Note: This retail package includes (1) Flipper Standard Float External Handle, (1) Floating Internal Wet Module, (1) Stainless Steel Glass Blade, and (1) ABS Plastic Acrylic Blade. Replacement blades are sold under separate maintenance categories).
