IceCap Fish Trap, Small

IceCap Small Fish Trap — 6" x 3" x 3.5"

The IceCap Small Fish Trap (SKU: IC-FT-150S) is an authentic, precision-cut livestock management tool distributed by CoralVue to safely isolate and remove specific fish or mobile pests from established reef systems and planted community aquariums. Chasing a sick, aggressive, or rogue fish around a mature tank with standard hand nets is a recipe for disaster—it causes severe psychological stress to your livestock, damages delicate coral colonies, and almost always requires tearing down hours of meticulous rockwork. The IC-FT-150S eliminates this frustration entirely by utilizing passive, food-motivated trickery. Constructed from premium optical-grade transparent acrylic, this trap remains completely unobtrusive underwater, allowing fish to grow comfortable swimming in and out of the chamber during standard feeding routines.

The standout engineering feature of the IceCap Fish Trap series is its innovative, interlocking puzzle-plate construction. Traditional acrylic fish traps are bulky, non-yielding cubes that take up massive storage space in your cabinet or fish room when idle. The IC-FT-150S fully resolves this by assembling with high-precision interlocking slots and durable heavy-duty silicone bands, meaning it can be completely flat-packed into a drawer when your target is caught. Complete with a specialized top-loading internal bait tube to distribute frozen or dry food scents and a smooth-gliding gravity door controlled via a generous length of manual monofilament pull-string, this compact 6-inch trap is a critical addition to any advanced aquarist's emergency toolkit.

Key Features:

• Scents Evaporate Naturally: The integrated bait tube features micro-perforations along its lower section, keeping loose frozen food secure while allowing juices to flow outward to stimulate target appetites.

• Instant Mechanical Closure: The loose-fit vertical tracking channels ensure the drop-door encounters near-zero friction, sliding down instantly the second you release tension on the line.

• Invisible Structural Footprint: Seamless crystal-clear paneling avoids triggering the natural flight response common in bold wild-caught marine species when encountering dark mesh nets.

Note: This accessory package contains all flat-packed acrylic panels, clear drop gate, perforated bait tube, rubber locking rings, secure suction cups, and monofilament drop line. Frozen bait foods are sold separately.
