IceCap Pine Root, XXLarge (24in-28in)

IceCap XX-Large Pine Root Wood — 24" to 28" (SKU: IC-WPRXXL)

IceCap XX-Large Pine Root Wood (SKU: IC-WPRXXL) is an authentic, hand-selected natural hardscape component distributed by CoralVue to add dynamic multi-directional movement and ancient organic structure to monster freshwater aquariums, massive public-scale displays, and giant enclosures up to 200–300+ gallons. While standard straight log driftwoods look blocky and unnatural, Pine Root is celebrated for its highly detailed, twisted growth structure. Harvested from dense subterranean environments where growing paths warp around stone pockets, each piece showcases an organic array of complex knots, rough-textured bark tracks, and looping branch networks that turn your enclosure into a natural riverbank or forest floor.

The primary visual draw of the XX-Large Pine Root is its rich, warm brownish-red hue. When fully waterlogged and submerged inside a display tank, these woody tones deepen significantly, providing an exceptional color contrast against bright green aquatic plants and pale aragonite or sand beds. Measuring between 24 and 28 inches, these double-extra-large specimen pieces work beautifully as a primary centerpiece for a deep, wide, or extra-tall aquarium layout, or as a massive elevated climbing network for large reptiles. The ultra-porous nature of this natural wood provides an abundance of microscopic anchor zones, making it incredibly easy to establish extensive live moss walls or secure rooting ferns over years of continuous cultivation.

Key Features

• Brings Dynamic Structural Realism: Twisted branch limbs weave seamlessly into open-space layouts, breaking up linear sights to maximize viewing depths.

• Creates Crucial Aquarium Territories: Winding root configurations form natural arches and micro-caves, giving territorial fish and shrimp excellent shelter zones.

• All-Natural Biological Buffer: Gradually introduces beneficial organic substances and soft wood properties that mimic wild tropical blackwater river systems.

• (Note: Because this is an entirely natural wood product, each piece is unique. Expected variations in exact shape, weight, color layout, and branch thickness are standard).
