IceCap Thousand Layer Stone, 44lbs

IceCap Thousand Layer Stone Bulk Case — 44 lbs (SKU: IC-RTLS)

IceCap Thousand Layer Stone Bulk Hardscape (SKU: IC-RTLS) is an authentic, premium-grade natural decorative stone distributed by CoralVue to inject dramatic horizontal depth, cliffside realism, and ancient geological beauty into freshwater aquariums and tropical or desert terrariums. Popularly recognized in the luxury design community as Pagoda Stone, this heavily texturized rock is formed through millions of years of sequential sedimentary accumulation, packing fine mineral grains and silts into tightly compressed, visible layers. This extensive 44-pound project box contains a hand-selected mix of varying rock dimensions, providing you with the exact raw materials required to forge massive canyon pathways, layered mountain peaks, or stepped riverbank retaining walls.

The unique architectural benefit of IceCap Thousand Layer Stone rests on its Flat, Stackable Structural Geometry. Unlike rounded boulders or irregular jagged slates, the flat planes of Pagoda Stone allow for incredibly stable stacking setups without the constant risk of shifting or sliding. Because this natural rock features minor calcified mineral veins between its dense clay-silica layers, it can provide a gentle, natural buffering benefit to closed aquarium systems, helping to stabilize the total hardness (gH) and maintain a steady pH baseline against sudden drops. This operational characteristic makes it incredibly popular for high-growth planted tanks running active carbon dioxide injection, dwarf shrimp sanctuaries, and African cichlid displays that thrive on stable, clean, mineral-enriched environments.

Key Features

• Breathtaking Canyon Realism: Prominent horizontal striations easily mimic soaring rock faces and terraced river bluffs inside medium to large aquariums.

• Safe, Quality-Controlled Collection: Thoroughly inspected, sorted, and pressure-washed to ensure the hardscape arrives free of toxic chemical run-off, soils, or agricultural waste.

• Promotes Inhabitant Foraging: Complex multi-tiered ledge networks create perfect caves, shaded territories, and micro-shelters for bottom-dwelling loaches, plecos, and dwarf shrimp.

• (Note: Because this is an entirely natural stone product, each case features a completely unique mix of shapes, weights, and color variations. Natural mineral veining differences are expected).
